Some example Unity3D Worlds that were created using Terragen 2 and the Terrain Tools. The textures, trees, etc. in these examples are from Unitys Standard Assets or the free download Terrain Assets.

Note that the purpose of these examples is not to show off the beauty of Unity terrain. You need to change the textures, tree objects, grass colours, etc. to achieve really good visuals. The purpose of these scripts is to give you some splatmaps, treemaps, grassmaps, bushmaps and overlay maps either to use in your own projects or to experiment with to reproduce the steps for the scripts.

Island

A tropical island with palm trees and banana plants, as well as a path across the island showing the overlay map feature. This example contains a full level with all necessary textures, models, etc. so you can see the island as soon as you load it up, no further assembly required. :-)

Huge World

These are 16 tiles (4x4) of a huge terrain. Each tile is 1024x1024. However, since this mother of all terrains (16km by 16km in my test project) is from the early days of the Terrain Tools, it only contains heightmaps and splatmaps. No tree or grass/bush distribution, sorry.

please note that some people have reported this example to be corrupt. I'll update it when I find a bit of time.

Wake Island

Created on request, this demonstrates how easy it is to create specific terrain.  Wake Island is a fairly well-known atoll, featuring in some computer games. Here is a Unity version of the map:
